Around two years ago, Elisabeth Schimana and Andrea Sodomka founded the ima, the Institute of Media Archeology, in Hainburg. The institute’s research interest focuses, as the ima homepage states, on the “excavation of feminine productivity in the field of electronic art, embedding it in the overall historical context and thus making it visible to a wider audience.” The year 2007 witnessed the organization’s first festival.
