Born in Munich, since 1995 he mostly lives in Austria. Mic Oechsner is a jazz violinist, composer and educator and has been for over 30 years on stage. He received his musical training, inter alia, at the Berklee College of Music, Boston. Oechsner is the initiator of numerous musical projects, composer of theater and film scores and looks back onto cooperations with well-known artists of the international scene: Herman Johnson, Karl Berger, Jürgen Wuchner, Zupfgeigenhansel, BAP, Peter O'Mara, Paul Grabowsky, Hans Koller, Laurie Antonioli, Harry Stojka, Bireli Lagrene, Schnuckenack Reinhardt, Modern String Quartet, Sigi Busch, Georg Kreisler and many others.

 

Mic Oechsner wrote and played music for theater and cabaret stages, he produced audiobooks and hosted events. He initiated well-known projects such as NUNU! and GRAPPELLISSIMO and can be listened to on over 30 CDs and LPs as a musician.
Since 2011 Oechsner lives in Southern Lower Austria, where he manages a production studio.
