General Information

Although the Danube is no longer blue, 2135 river kilometers away from the Black Sea, an ensemble was formed under the direction of Sven Birch, consisting of young musicians who met each other at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. Combining chamber musical reactions with an almost orchestral sound, the musicians from all walks, ensembles and orchestras of life (members and subsitutes of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the State Theatre at Gärtnerplatz Munich, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra) always come back to Linz. The repertoire focuses on large chamber music instrumentations formed after 1900. In intensive rehearsals the ensemble develops modern music with exact precision and refined playfulness.
