Gramola

Year of Foundation:  1924

Gramola was founded in 1924 as a a retail company and distributor of the UK-CZ record label “Gramola” which went bankrupt as a result of the great crash in 1929. Gramola founded “his Masters Voice” and is one of the oldest recorded music business in Austria. It is a family owned business in the fourth generation. 

 

In the last years the sales production and distribution of CD’s and DVD’s has been displaced and the company is currently the most productive classical recording company in Austria with around 30 recordings per year. they also support young musicians and together with Exilarte the publication of music from exiled/murdered composers.
