Careful treatment of the material, which seeks and sustains moods, is rare, not at all contemporary, and is definitely an exception to postmodern arbitrariness. It is the content that dictates the artistic rendition [...] The responsibility towards a given content results in a specific way of working, which throws the image of a solitary pottering artistic genius back to the 19th century, and with it also the concept of a work as something written in stone: "Artists have to develop a matrix which enables a network of creative people from all fields to work together on a given project", says Martin Breindl [...] Andrea Sodomka and Martin Breindl, both graduates of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, have been working together since 1986. They see themselves as an open group who decide on a given medium depending on the content theme and then organise a network according to this decision. Stereotype thinking is passé.

Captive of the virtual world
Sodomka and Breindl bring people together and let them become a part of technical, sensual creative work. An integrated work of art results, a new, different world of theatre, both fleeting and fascinatingly haunting. Nothing is real anymore, as reality is created anew, on one wall one sees a reflection of the industrial age, man moves away but actually remains, usually invisible, behind the wheels, the creator of visionary coincidence of sound, light, image and movement. He plays a role in a "fabric" which could be the world and which is subject to a painless cycle of life and death. [...] Fifty minutes which challenge one to ponder on for a very long time.
