The petite singer, whose mother is from Yemen and father comes from Vienna, had the crowd under control after five minutes: misty, sexy voice in the middle layers, clear in the upper layers - in addition effectively styled gestures and the smile of the Mona Lisa [...]
Basler Zeitung
Nothing about this fusion seems fake, even older Jewish concert visitors sense it as a poignant interpretation of their Lord's Prayer. The younger audience, which knows Timna Brauer from the jazz scene (in 1988 she performed on the same evening as M. Davis and H. Hancock at Montreux) and has no affinity for the Jewish tradition, celebrate the same song because of it's exciting musical combination. This says a lot about the quality of the singer and her musicians [...]
Der Bund
Timna Brauer's multicultural tour
The enchanting voice of Timna Brauer, daughter of the Viennese artist Arik Brauer, always led back into mystical realms. The mood was unique and almost sinister, with colorful costumes, the 35 flickering candles on stage and the special strong, almost passionate devotion with which the ensemble worked themselves up into often strange sounds [...]
Berliner Morgen Post
Again and again, the intelligent built-in tensions between reflection and impetus provide the ideal foundation for the versatile voice of Timna Brauer. Equipped with incredible stage presence, she dances nimbly from one world to another, whether melancholic or with temperament - what remains is grace, charm and authenticity [...]
Rhein Zeitung Koblenz
Timna Brauer's voice: soft and flowing, just as her floor-length red dress and also heavy as thick velvet, presented with a hypnotic charisma, with which this petite woman seduced the audience in Hambach, and even seemed to cope effortlessly with difficult oriental melodies - including the sharp, trilling cries of Bedouin women. Timna Brauer does certainly not solely have to do with her profound classical voice training, but surely also the formative influences of her mother, whose family once emigrated from Yemen to Israel [...]
