One symbol of his success, is that his works have been released by multiple publishers. His chamber opera, "Radek" as well as his double concert for violin and piano, have been published by the renowned "Edition Peters". "Simply the fact that I am with this publisher makes me very happy", says Richard Dünser, who is still actively looking to bring his pieces to well-known concert halls. But he is well aware that, due to his composition style, his works often fall between the aesthetic styles of the various curators. "My music doesn't really fit for the avant-garde festivals, but it can be played in "normal" concerts", says Dünser, who has noticed a change in contemporary composition. More composers are moving to a more harmonic and melodic music.

Press Reviews

It can be rated as a special event when the world premiere of a piece of contemporary music is cheered. [...] The best thing about Dünser's work, is this "übertime" created by the sound, a transcendence leaving the audience in happy calmness.

Neue Vorarlberger Tageszeitung (Anna Mika)

Dünser is not part of those who go back to "the old values" as if Avant-garde has been barking up the wrong tree for the past ninety years. In fact, his music integrates the accomplishments in an individual way - for example a harmony dispelling all worries that dissonances could be overused as a medium of excitement.

Tiroler Tageszeitung (Martin Mumelter)

Dünser possesses the rare gift, to phrase clearly and concise without losing quality. The harmonies seem well-selected, the colours are imaginatively mixed, the melodies very expressive, the rhythms lively, the form well arranged - in short: music to listen to again soon.

Die Presse (Gerhard Kramer)

Theoretically in one movement, the piece developed from the single theme into an easily understandable alternation of fast and slow movements, the finale with exquisite lines played by each of the soloists. [...] It is a stunning work, and should be played more often.

South China Morning Post (Harry Rolnick)
