Marcel Reuter, born in Luxembourg, attended composition courses with Klaus Huber, Beat Furrer, Hanspeter Kyburz and Magnus Lindberg, in addition to completing his university studies. He is a founding member of the Viennese composers group Gegenklang. His compositions are mainly for chamber music ensembles which stems in part from his activities as a pianist. The close cooperation with musicians performing his works is essential for him, as he has himself performed works by colleagues of his group Gegenklang. His works have been performed in London, Luxembourg, Montreal, Rome, etc. Marcel Reuter lives and works in Vienna.
