Born in Vienna, early motivated on a career as an ski racer by father, which ended at the age of 15 years in favor of a musical career.
Graduated from the Vienna Conservatory with distinction and won several awards as a jazz guitarist.
From 1990 - 1997 head of department of the jazz department of the Prayner Conservatory and since 1998 head of the same department at the Gustav Mahler Conservatory.
Works as a guitarist with artists such as Alice in the Fields, Heli Deinboek, Mick Taylor, Peter Kraus, Harri Stojka, Rounder Girls, Idris Muhammed - just to name a few.

Alice In The Fields jumped in 1997 with the song "Smile" (Comp. Andy Bartosh) in the charts. Among other chart successes, it was played for 36 weeks on heavy rotation at Austria's radio Ö3 and was No. 2 in the Russian charts.
