Description of Style

The jury of the culture prize of the state of Upper Austria nominated me for the "Talentförderungsprämie für Musik 2005" on account of the "great willingness for expression" inherent in my music as well as the " technical sound capacity" apparent in my work and despite my (relative (note by Lemke)) youth (see: "Beispiele 2005. Kulturpreise des Landes Oberösterreich, Amt der OÖ. Landesregierung (Editor)).
My personal understanding of art is entirely "reactionary": music as a language, as a reaction to feelings, experiences, duties, problems, ideas, as a reaction to the "world". According to Joyce, an aesthetic reaction to the world occurs in three stages: artistic conception (perception), artistic gestation, and artistic reproduction (see: James Joyce, Pariser Notizbuch, in James Joyce, Kleine Schriften (Frankfurter Ausgabe, Werke 4.1), Frankfurt am Main 1974, pp. 50).
"I do not believe that beauty is accidental." (James Joyce, Stephen der Held, Frankfurt am Main 1998, S. 196)
