Description of Style

Peter Jakober works convince through multifaceted rhythmic shades as well as in his use of microtonal design . The composer deals intensively with rhythmic overlays and their slowly resulting shifts. The counterpart to this takes the form of microtonal progressions in which repetitive tones gradually change in pitch, or a glissandi with a continuous change in pitch. On top of this the composer repeatedly sets suddenly appearing single notes or contrasting chords. The result is gradually dense structure , whose complexity is made simultaneously understandable and exciting by its gradual development.
