Description of Style

Experiences with electronic music in combination with the interest in Indian music and the studying of the Indian string instrument esraj, led to a search for sounds, which seldom starts with the traditional, but attempts to break new ground in a haptic/process-related and melodious/sensual way. A sensitive questioning of traditions is my motivation to play and write music, which tries to open up room, which has often been forced upon us through marketing categorization.
Thinking ahead and gently transferring the familiar into a contemporary environment is inspiring, not clinging to culture in a traditional, obstinate and sometimes even rigid way. Silence and sound instead of the excessive overload by a globalised culture undifferentiatedly mixing everything it gets into its hands between paper money, event reports and mega deals.
