Description of Style

The starting point is usually a jazz composition (a topic). Occasionally, I can derive a second contrasting theme from one of these topics and create a more complex composition. With some of these pieces I hear string instruments or various wind instruments with a jazz band. The jazz rhythms and (jazz) harmonies are the centre of my work. I use atonality only as a contrast (or as an element of tension) to tonality. Since I primarily improvise, most of my compositions are very spontaneous. So I do not work according to plan. If I were a serious classical music composer, I would orientate myself on Ligeti and Gérard Grisey.
