Description of Style

Over the past 10 years, during which Okba initially has moved to Italy, and then to Austria - but especially during the last four years - he has decided to put his artistic focus in regard to the composition of contemporary music on the merging and fusion of Western music with elements of Egyptian Folk Music.

In this context, he experimented with different methodological approaches:

  1. Compositions which get performed by Western musicians as well as by Egyptian folk-musician
  2. Introduction to various aspects of Egyptian culture (traditions, art, literature)
  3. Sharing his experiences as a composer with young composers
