Mahmoud Hossam

The composer, born 1965 in Cairo, studied oriental and European music, as well as viola, oud (Arabian lute) and music education at the university of his home country. He went on to study composition at the Music University of Graz and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he completed his studies with distinction in 1998. His achievements until now comprise chamber music with different artists as well as orchestral pieces, electronic and computer music, and operas.
