General Information

Year of Foundation:  1998

It’s hard to ignore the popularity of Austrian dialects in the national music scene lately. Austropop reloaded! Der Nino aus Wien has taken a rather morbid “Wienerschmäh” to the clubs, HUbert von Goisern knocked international acts off of the top of the charts with “Brennen tuats guiat”, the alpine-Elvis Andreas Gabalier has a hysterical fan-base in Germany, and rappers like Skero and Cro and would only be half so popular if their message was delivered in standard German. Austropop 2.0 is as varied as never before.

And now it includes the sound of the Salzach-delta. A sound filled with the tangy tones of the Salzburg dialect. The sound of fusion mixed with traditional influences from the alps. A sound that has managed to break through the language barriers of the entire land. The sound of Bluesbrausen.
