Austrian Cultural Forum Washington D.C.

General Information

The Austrian Cultural Forum Washington D.C. (ACFDC) was created with the objective of serving as a focus of cultural exchange between Austrians/Europeans and Americans. Therefore, the ACFDC organizes and supports a variety of cultural events (concerts, film screenings, exhibitions, theatre, lectures, panel discussions, symposia), most of which take place in the Atrium of the Austrian Embassy.

The Austrian Cultural Forum Washington D.C. is part of a network of 30 Austrian Cultural Forums around the world. In the USA, there is a second Cultural Forum in New York.
The Cultural Forums are an important instrument of Austrian foreign cultural policy. Organizationally and in terms of programming they are managed by the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna. Each Cultural Forum focuses on the specific requirements of the respective local users and partners and is responsible for its own programming.
