Empowerment for the female Austrian music scene
The women|music – database includes all the contents of the respective book "women|music austria" and has the advantage of being up to date and continuously extended.
The database prominently presents music made by women in Austria: from female composers, interpreters, media and sound artists, female DJs and VJs, over music managers and event organizers, journalists and musicologists, up to performance platforms, festivals and networks focusing on music by women and gender issues.
The easier access to knowledge about the contemporary female Austrian music scene is a contribution to support this development and its appreciation. The women/music database is available both in German and in English and is kindly supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs.
